This morning’s service will be livestreamed at 9:30 a.m. and can be accessed in real time via the Fairfields UMC Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pg/fairfieldsumc/videos/?ref=page_internal OR at a later time, as all livestreamed worship services since March 15th are available on the Fairfields UMC Facebook page.

Last Sunday’s Financial Data – The Fairfields offering for the week of October 19-25 was $700. Offering to date is $65,700. 

Fairfields is holding a yard sale in the Activities building located behind the church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday for the next several weeks. People who visit the yard sale will be required to wear a mask and social distance. Also, more helpers are needed. Please contact Jill Davis (580-8127) if you can help.

The Northumberland Charge office is open during regular office hours (T-Th. 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) but is still closed to visitors. Please call or send an email to communicate with Margaret. 

Several yard signs are available for church members and friends who would like to place a sign in their yard. The signs are identical to what is in the Fairfields UMC church yard. They read “Come to me and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 For more information, Fairfieldsumc.org.” If interested, please contact the Charge office. There is no charge for the signs.

The Scripture reading for next Sunday will be Matthew 25:1-13.

Thursday, October 29 12:00 Noon – Service for Katherine Jett Harrison at Afton UMC. The family will receive visitors at Afton at 11 a.m. for an hour preceding the service.

Saturday, October 31  9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Annual Conference (online).

Tuesday, November 3 – Fairfields UMC will serve as a polling place for the general election.

Tuesday, November 3  6:00 p.m. – Bible study at Afton UMC (in person and via Zoom). Please note the change in time.

Thursday, November 5  10:30 a.m. – Bible study. at Fairfields UMC (in person and via Zoom) followed by Lunch at The Tavern Restaurant in Heathsville. 

Monday, November 9  7:00 p.m. – NOW meeting at Fairfields UMC.

Saturday, November 14 – District Conference at Wright’s Chapel in Fredericksburg.

Sunday, November 29  6:00 p.m. – Afton UMC Piano Dedication and Disaster Relief featuring your favorite hymns by request played on the new piano donated in memory of Mary Priscilla Cockrell. All requests must be made by text (804-724-0706) or email (matthew.ewoldt@yahoo.com) by November 18th. Donations for requests will be gratefully accepted and sent to UMCOR disaster relief.
